Welcome to Raccoon Rescue of the Valleys

Raccoon Rescue of the Valleys is a non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and release of native Virginia wildlife.

It is with great sadness that we have to announce the closing of Raccoon Rescue of the Valleys, effective May 15, 2019, due to age and health concerns of the two directors. We want to thank everyone who has supported us through donations and volunteering over the past 5 years. your help has been invaluable to our success helping orphaned babies and injured or sick raccoons. If the raccoons could speak for themselves, they would all extend a paw of thanks.

Should you need any help with raccoons after May 15th in the Roanoke or New River Valleys, as well as any other wildlife, please contact Roanoke Wildlife Rescue at 540-330-6119 (texting is the quickest way to get a response). Southwest Virginia Wildlife Center in Roanoke does not take raccoons.

We wish you all the best in the years ahead helping the wildlife you encounter.
